This may make you think that I am 22 going on 80 but I have a confession ... I seriously love to knit!
Last year I made a snood, a scarf and even attempted a beenie (not that I was successful) and fully intend to do the same as winter approaches in Sydney. I think I love it because it's weirdly theraputic, it's also hassle free - you can sit in front of the TV, have coffee with a friend, even skype whilst quietly knitting away! You also can make very cute winter pieces that cost only $10! And when your a student that comes in handy!
As it is the first proper day of Autumn today I am picking up my needles and starting a new scarf, based on one from Witchery (below) that i totally covet, but cannot afford. This is the first of many D.I.Y attempts inspired by an avoidance of sweat-shop made clothes and a desire to save some pennies!
