My week in food ...
So this week has been all about food for me. On Saturday I visited my local farmers markets which has some of the freshest and cheapest organic veggies which I then used to make my very first roast dinner! I then had beef and red wine pie made by my beautiful friend Chloe from DesignNest which was incredible. Sunday I also found my new favourite hot beverage called 'London Fog'. It is the perfect morning pick me up and you can find out how to make it here. And last but not least I LOVE these Kermit Kakes, they're so cute it's almost too hard to eat them!
But anyway, the whole point I'm rambling on about food is because I've been thinking a lot about where my food comes from. At the markets there was so much fresh food that was pestiside free and used less fossil fuels to produce it. One really easy way to reduce your carbon footprint and boost your local economy is to get your groceries from these local markets. So with Easter coming up I will be making my Easter dinner from fresh, organic foods that were made just round the corner!
So Happy Easter everyone and feel free to share your Easter goodies with me too!
Speaking of ... this week I cannot stop craving macaroons. Yes they are the new cupcake and Adriano Zumbo makes the most delicious macaroons, just a short ride away in Balmain! Its Safe to say I'll be heading there soon to stock up on these delicious treats!
